Text for 'Interfluencia' exhibition by Daniel Alvarez, Francisco José Perez and Henkia at GlogauAIR Art Space Berlin within the context of OPEN STUDIO (30-31.03.2012). [en] Interfluencia The exhibition Interfluencia is about three Chilean artists, painting simultaneously and using as a common method random and improvisation. The starting point of this work in progress begins with the selection of one of the works of each artist that represents and reflects perfectly their own style. Taking this selection as the starting point, the three painters will work in situ in the same space for almost one week, seeking to emphasize the aspects in which each one finds influences from each other, both in a technical and conceptual level. The works that are turned out of this experience will be presented in a chronological and sequential way, with the aim of showing the development and the evolution of the creative process since the first day. The goal of this project is that the display of the three “floating” studios and the painters working in the same space benefits this interfleuencia between them and their work. The action will be recorded by video, and during the Open Studios, this video will be shown as a registration of what happened, making the process of the artwork visible for the public. This exhibition is curated by Olga Sureda Guasch, a young Spanish curator based in Berlin. Olga Sureda Guasch 2012 >>> See PROJECT |
